MIND OVER MATTER
In achieving every or any goal or success, it is always the work of the mind. For minor, day-to-day goals, a person can immediately make decisions without a moment’s hesitation, but when it comes to making decisions for situations or events in our lives that require time and major thinking such as long-term or major goals, it usually requires time and a lot of effort. The reason behind this is because, people usually don’t know what they really desire or want. We often aspire of doing something big, but the big question there is… what? What do you actually want done? What do you actually want to do? We may have a vague idea on what it is but we barely process it therefore, the details are always not enough. In order for you to accomplish anything, and being able to use your mind power in the process, you have to know exactly what it is that you want. Make your goals clear and well-defined so that your mind power will only be set on that certain thing. And how does one go about doing just that?
Meditation. Find out what it is that you want to accomplish or gain. Think about it hard enough that all your energy is centered on nothing else but that thought alone. Practice makes perfect. It can make your focus stronger through time. After which, come up with a plan for action once your discovery has hit the exact target. Learn the steps towards achieving it since everything goes through a certain process. Planning is greatly required in this process and with planning comes the use of mind power. Hold in your mind a clear image of your desired goal after you have decided on a goal and coming up with a plan. It is very important that you see it accomplished or fulfilled. You have to be flexible and open enough to be able to use your imagination. If imagination does not depict clear images in your head, once again, practice makes perfect. Regular training of your concentration can do wonders you have never expected you possessed. Examples of what you could do are to focus your attention on a picture of the goal that you want to achieve, and then slowly close your eyes and recall the image in your imagination enhancing your ability to visualize.
At this point in time, patience is a virtue. Be patient and display the power of self-discipline and persistence. Make sure that you also use the tool of affirmation. Affirming something will sink into your subconscious mind and stays there, becoming a part of it, therefore little by little affecting and effecting through your actions and way of thinking. Positive affirmations lead to success. So you have to make sure that you only attract positive thoughts and discard the negative ones.
Thought Transference is also a very important power of the mind. You have to be able to convey your thoughts to other people who will help you achieve your plans. They are most of the time your tools who will help you in fulfilling them. It does not only require you to talk to them, you have to faith in what you are saying, believe, discipline and persuade so that your efforts will work.
Then start motivating yourself. Spend time thinking about your goals. Show enthusiasm and think of the advantages that it can do to you. Think of how it can change your life and your future. Your thoughts are the answer to everything. They possess a certain power that will greatly affect everything around you, most especially you. So it all starts in the mind. Success is a process, and the process starts in thinking.
